ISOLAR NEUTRALUX® glazing gives important energy savings, as solar energy remains inside the building after being transformed into heat, thus providing a source of free heat.
The following is a comparative calculation of energy savings achieved by installing ISOLAR® GLAS and installing ISOLAR NEUTRALUX® . We have based this on the following information:
- A home with 10 m2 of windows.
- The coldest months of the year (November to March).
- Using natural gas heating.
- Price of the gas: 0.000056 €/Kcal.
- Inside temperature: 22 ºC
- Outside temperature: 8 ºC
We will show the energy consumption of both glazing systems, and then calculate the difference; this will be our energy saving.
Consumption of energy (CE) = U or K ratio x h x m2x ºC
o CE1 = 2,4 Kcal/hm2 ºC x 3,600 h x 10 m2 x 14 ºC = 1,209,600 Kcal.
o Monetary consumption = 1,209,600 Kcal. X 0.000056 €/Kcal. = 67,73 €
o CE1 = 1.4 Kcal/hm2 ºC x 3,600 h x 10 m2 x 14 ºC = 705,600 Kcal.
o Monetary consumption = 705,600 Kcal. X 0.000056 €/Kcal. = 39,51 €
Energy saving = 67,73 € - 39,51 € = 28,22€
