VETECO 08, the International Fair on Windows and Glass Locking Devices (Salon Internacional de la Ventana y el Cerramiento Acristalado), will be held in the Madrid Trade Fair between next 6th and 9th of May.
On this occasion, the 11th on which this fair will be held, the exhibition area has been enlarged as all the available room has been hired. The most outstanding feature is the presence of foreign companies, which has turned VETECO into the greatest European monographic appointment on this sector.
VETECO is a platform for the commercial launching of new products and it is a unique place to set up a debate concerning the products, the systems or the application norms in the industry of glass locking devices, such as, for instance, the new Technical Building Code, CTE.
678 firms have already confirmed their presence at this event and a total net surface of 52,748 square metres has been hired, which involves a 15.7 per cent increase as compared to VETECO 06.
VETECO 08 will be held in pavilions 2, 4, 6 and 8 and in two new ones, namely, number 12, which is extraordinarily bright, and number 14, which has two floors. These new pavilions can be directly accesses from the outside and they are connected with the rest of the fair.
The most outstanding event of the activity and conference programme organised by IFEMA, is the Forum on Height Architecture organised by Grupo Via, which will be held next 8th of May in the North Convention Centre, at the Madrid Trade Fair. This is a national meeting for architects, building professionals and companies concerned with the new generation of high buildings in Spain. It will be dealing with nearly twenty instances, including the four towers at the CTBA in Madrid.
This conference will give way to discussions and new conclusions by architecture and building professionals, as well as by the different agents involved in the construction process.
Vitro will attend the fair, as usual, and it will be introducing its new glass products, but it will be located in a different place. Several modifications in the assignment of the pavilions for VETECO have taken place and Vitro has seized the occasion to get more room, choosing pavilion 12, which has a further advantage as it can be directly accessed from the outside while it is still integrated in the fair premises.
The stand of Vitro, stand B12, which is placed in Pavilion 12, has been designed by Juan Jose Mateos and Camila Aybar, the architects in charge of the
successful design of the stand of Vitro for the previous VETECO event. On this occasion, the design is based upon straight lines, which symbolises an amalgam of precious stones: carbuncles and diamonds that will fill up the premises with light and colour.
This time, Vitro wants to have a more dynamic presence in VETECO and, apart from attending the event as an exhibitor and a lecturer, it will also organise - in its own stand - lectures that will be given by prestigious architects who will present their own works and explain the specific features of each project.
