MULTIPACT^®

MULTIPACT^® is a glazing system comprising two or more panes of glass joined together by one or several polyvinyl butyral plastic sheets (PVB) providing different security levels: The physical protection of persons, protection of objects or fixtures from vandals and robbers, protection from firearm attacks and explosions.

Modern architectural projects often require large, glazed spaces with the aim of making the most of natural light and large spaces. Many of these glazed areas are situated in skylights or covers, at street level, which are easily accessible to people.

MULTIPACT^® manages to reduce the risk of accidents caused by people banging into glass. One of the main advantages of this type of glazing is that, if it breaks, the glass shells do not come loose but remain adhered to the butyral (PVB) stopping the whole unit from falling out and injuring people or damaging property. Furthermore, MULTIPACT^® is highly resistant to breakage and perforation.

MULTIPACT^® can be manufactured in different weights and with different types of glass: colourless or coloured, low emission (NEUTRALUX^®), solar control glass (SOLARLUX^®), etc. At the same time, PVB sheets installed between the panes can give different appearances, ranging from totally transparent to different tones of colour. This versatility is a very useful tool for meeting the current aesthetic needs of architectural projects.

ISOLAR MULTIPACT^® is ISOLAR^® insulated glazing that includes one or more components of MULTIPACT^® glass. In addition to its ability to protect from attacks, ISOLAR MULTIPACT^® can achieve the same levels of energy saving, with solar control and noise insulation as the abovementioned products, as they are all completely compatible.
