SOLARLUX® glass has sunlight-filtering properties that reduce the amount of radiation passing through them. It is composed of a coloured or colourless pane, to which a fine coating of metal oxides has applied, giving it a more or less reflective appearance.
SOLARLUX® plays a very important role in thermal insulation in buildings, as it decreases energy flow levels and the sunlight affecting a building. This is a basic factor when it comes to drafting building projects and analysing their overall energy needs.
The SOLARLUX® range of glass is divided into two important groups. One group comprises glass that allows very little light through (very reflective) and the other comprises glass which allows a lot of light through (which reflects very little light). The differences between the types of SOLARLUX® stem from the type of coating used, the base glass to which it is applied, and the technology used.
ISOLAR SOLARLUX® can be defined as insulated glazing comprising SOLARLUX® on the outside, either as a sinple pane or as part of laminated glass.
The extensive SOLARLUX® range is totally adapatable, and can be integrated into all glazing needed for architectural products, giving the building in question a unique apperance and optimum lighting and thermal performance.
